31-Oct-2006 - All Saints Primary School Selects The Green Team for Landscaping Project
The Green Team are very pleased to announce that they have won the contract to carry out re-landscaping works on the main car park, located in the internal garden at All Saints Primary School in Wimbledon.
30-Sep-2006 - Beatrix Potter School Selects The Green Team for Landscaping Project
The Green Team have been chosen by Beatrix Potter School in Wandsworth to re-landscape the gardens of the school house which have been converted into classrooms. This will include complete clearance of the existing gardens, new pond installation, creation of a vegetable garden and grass seeding.
30-Sep-2006 - New Grounds Maintenance Contract with Ravenscourt Park Hospital
We are very pleased to announce that The Green Team (GMC) Ltd have been awarded a contract with Ravenscourt Park Hospital to maintain their grounds and gardens. The contract specification includes grass cutting, gardening services, leaf clearance and herbicide application.
30-Jun-2006 - The Green Team is Migrating Ford Transit Fleet to Isuzu Trucks
The Green Team (GMC) Ltd are pleased to announce that over the next two years we will be migrating our fleet of Ford Transit vans over to Isuzu Trucks.

Like with any large investment, we left nothing to chance and carried out extensive tests of several van and truck manufacturers and Isuzu came top.

We have recently received our first Isuzu Truck from Glenside Commercial in Croydon, the bodywork was custom built by Bespoke Bodies to our specifications.
30-Apr-2006 - New Plant and Machinery
The Green Team (GMC) Ltd have purchased a Wessex flail cutting deck which can be attached to the Kubota front mounted grass cutting machine. The flail mower can cut anything from a fine lawn to very rough and long grass.

This specialist machine is intended for use at sites that we maintain with undulating ground and long rough grass areas.
30-Apr-2006 - New Plant and Machinery
The Green Team (GMC) Ltd have purchased a Kubota GZD 28 Zero turn grass cutting machine with a special mulching deck. This deck cuts the grass up several times before being left on the ground. This means that there are no unsightly clumps of grass, following the cut. This machinery will be used mainly on our estate and school client sites.

We are very pleased to announce that The Green Team (GMC) Ltd have signed a three year contract with The Vineyard School to maintain their grounds and gardens. This includes grass cutting, plant and shrub maintenance, weed control, leaf clearance and sports pitch marking and renovation.
22-Mar-2006 - New Plant and Machinery
The Green Team GMC Ltd have purchased a new Ransomes HR6010 wide area ride-on mower.

The Ransomes HR6010 is powered by a 60hp turbo charged Perkins diesel engine, this machine makes light work of cutting large areas of grass. The fold-up wing design reduces the width of the machine to 1.55m making transporting the machine easy. Individual implement lift levers allow the option of cutting with one, two or three decks making tight areas simple to maintain.

The HR6010 has been kitted out for full road use, and will also be sign written with our company logo and contact details.

17-Mar-2006 - Wandsworth Schools Contract Extension
We are very pleased to announce that The Green Team (GMC) Ltd have just signed a four year contract renewal with Wandsworth Borough Council - Education Department to maintain the grounds and supply additional services to forty Wandsworth Schools and Education Establishments.

The contract includes, grass cutting, horticultural services, Japanese knotweed eradication, sports turf maintenance and pitch marking.
11-Mar-2006 - The Green Team Invest in Vehicle Management System
The Green Team (GMC) are pleased to announce that we have recently begun a company wide roll-out of a vehicle management system in our vans, lorries and vehicle fleet. This will help us to manage our fleet, and crew more efficiently.

The system is provided by "Tracker" and will enable us to provide our clients with a quicker response to an emergency call out, monitor where our teams are during the day, and provide reports of site visits. We are able to track all vehicles’ in real-time, in the event of a theft, we can immediately inform the police of the exact location of the vehicle.

10-Mar-2006 - Newly Qualified Green Team First Aiders
We are pleased to announce that five members of the Green Team staff have just passed the British Red Cross First Aid at Work course in Croydon, Surrey.

This course provides grounding in basic first aid for employees, either to support the dedicated first aider or to raise their general awareness of first aid. At the end of the course, participants will have learnt how to perform CPR and deal with different types of injuries. Key points and skills include :

  • Personal Safety, assessing the incident
  • Priorities: DRAB checking and sending for help
  • Unconscious casualty
  • Resuscitation: adults
  • Choking
  • Dealing with blood loss and shock
  • Burns and scalds
  • Fractures
  • Heart attack
  • Diabetes
  • Strokes
  • Seizures
  • Reporting and recording of incidents as required by the HSE
  • Contents of HSE approved first aid kit

In view of our increasing business and workload, we welcomed two new employees to The Green Team (GMC) Ltd.
21-Feb-2006 - New Plant and Machinery
The Green Team would like to announce the purchase of a "Scag" SCZ36A-19KA 36 inch rear discharge Z-Cat and a SCZ42A-19KA 42 inch rear discharge Z-Cat, both are zero turn rotary ride on mowers.

Following trials with these machines, we are very impressed with the cut quality and how small and manageable they are. Because of the many housing estates we maintain, it has been difficult to acquire ride on grass cutting equipment which fit through smaller gates and doors. The Scag SCZ36A-19KA Is the ideal tool for the job as it is narrow enough to get through them.

We are very pleased to announce that The Green Team (GMC) Ltd have won a three year contract with King's College Hospital NHS Trust to maintain their grounds and gardens. This also includes several satellite sites, which the hospital own. The services we will provide, include, general grounds and gardens maintenance, grass cutting, plant and shrub maintenance, weed control and leaf clearance.

King's College Hospital is one of London’s major teaching hospitals. They provide a full range of hospital services to the London boroughs of Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham. They are also recognised nationally and internationally for work in liver disease and transplantation, foetal medicine, neurosciences, cardiology and haemo-oncology.
