01-Sep-2003 - Contract Extension
We are pleased to announce that Hammersmith Hospital Trust have extended their existing contract for a further three years. The contract is to carry out grounds and gardens maintenance. This includes grass cutting, plant and shrub maintenance, weed control and leaf clearances.
01-Sep-2003 - New Client
We are very pleased to welcome Dysart School, Surbiton as a new client of The Green Team (GMC) Ltd.

We are pleased to announce that Uxbridge & Hayes College have extended their existing contract. The contract is to carry out grounds and gardens maintenance. This includes grass cutting, plant and shrub maintenance, weed control and leaf clearances.

15-Jun-2003 - Warm Welcome to New Employees
In view of our increasing business and workload, we welcomed four new employees to The Green Team (GMC) Ltd during June 2003.
07-Jun-2003 - Grounds Maintenance Staff Training
All grounds maintenance staff (including grass cutting gangs and other maintenance staff) have now completed competence training and assessment in several areas, including the safe use of grass cutting mowers, industrial hedge cutters and strimmers.
30-Apr-2003 - New Managed Sites
We welcome the following new sites, Brentford Lodge, Cardinal Centre and Lakeside Unit, as part of our contract to provide grounds maintenance for West London Mental Health NHS Trust.
30-Apr-2003 - Contract Extension
We are pleased to announce that Burntwood School have extended their existing contract for a further three years. We look forward to continuing our excellent close working relationship with Burntwood.
05-Apr-2003 - New Plant and Machinery
The Green Team are pleased to welcome to their fleet, two brand new Ford Transit LWB vehicles.

These new vehicles have been supplied in white, and are awaiting signwriting in our new green and black corporate logo. This is part of our commitment to having a uniform fleet of Ford vehicles in our new logo/colours by March 2004.

The vans are part of the fleet, used for general grounds maintenance duties with the grass cutting gangs.
31-Mar-2003 - PA1 and PA6A Weed Spraying Certification
We are very pleased to mention that several members of The Green Team (GMC) Ltd staff have achieved PA1 and PA6A Weed Spraying Certification.

The PA1 and PA6A qualification, which is legally required for all professional pesticide users, consists of :

  • Legislation, codes of practice, label interpretation, assessing hazards and risks, sprayer safety, personal protective equipment
  • Pesticide storage and transportation, record keeping, disposal of pesticides and their containers, environmental protection
  • Planning and preparation, alternative methods of control, types of sprayer, nozzle selection, pre-spraying procedure, sprayer maintenance, calibration, handling and mixing,decontamination, LERAP
23-Jan-2003 - New Contract
We are very pleased to announce that The Green Team (GMC) Ltd have won a five year contract to supply grounds maintenance to Lambeth Borough Council, commencing February 2003.

The contract is with Lambeth Housing department, supplying grounds maintenance services to the Loughborough Housing Estate. The contract duties consist of grass cutting, shrub, plant and hedge pruning and cutting, leaf clearance and border maintenance. In addition to the scheduled works, there are various proposed landscaping schemes.
27-Sep-2002 - New Plant and Machinery
The Green Team GMC Ltd have purchased a Greenmech Eco-Combi. This machine combines a wood-chipper and a shredder.

The GreenMech Eco-Combi is a very versatile machine, it can chip wood up to 6 inches in diameter while dramatically shredding bulky green waste into small manageable loads, this enables us to spend more time on client sites rather than making numerous trips to our green waste recycling site, one of the obvious advantages of this is increased productivity which equates to better value for money.
10-Jun-2002 - New Plant and Machinery
The Green Team GMC Ltd have added a Ford Transit Crewcab Tipper to our existing fleet of vehicles.

The new vehicle can carry up to 6 people, it has a lockable storage area for hedge cutters, blowers, hand tools, petrol etc, all cuttings/arisings will be shredded directly into the back of the vehicle and fully recycled.
05-May-2002 - New Plant and Machinery
The Green Team GMC Ltd have purchased a Kawasaki ATV (Quad Bike) which has been fitted with a C-DAX 120 litre capacity spray boom kit.

We had taken a ATV ( with spraying kit ) on demonstration and were so pleased with the results that we bought one. The ATV will be predominately used on large hard standing areas such as housing estates, hospitals, schools, car parks etc, the spraying time will be dramatically cut, making the whole process more efficient.    [Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) - Information Site]

01-Apr-2002 - Contract Extension
We are very pleased to announce that Hammersmith Hospitals NHS Trust has taken up the option of extending their existing three year grounds maintenance contract for a further 2 years. The Green Team GMC Ltd are obviously delighted to have been awarded the extension and will be continuing to build on the hard work that has already been put into the sites belonging to the trust.
